The impetus for me to put pen to paper comes from Joseph O’Connor’s article ‘The Myth of the Well-Formed Outcome, Part 2,’ though I hasten to say that it was chance that settled on this article in preference to many others. I have read much of and around NLP over the best part of the last decade and I become increasingly curious and sometimes concerned at some of the presuppositions that emerge in current writing. In this short article I will try to give voice to a few examples.

Organisation as relationship

No man is an island. John Donne, 1624
All products are conversations. Hugh MacLeod, 2004

I don’t think that Hugh goes far enough – if products are conversations then it follows that organisations are conversations. Rich multiple conversations to be sure, not just chats around the coffee machine about last night’s tv.

The NLP Executive Coaching newsletter
Written By: Administrator
2008-01-03 07:54:46

The NLP Executive Coaching newsletter is published every week or two except December and August (at least that’s our intention). Subscription is open to anyone interested in the topics and you are invited to forward your copy to anyone else – please use the ‘Forward this e-mail’ link at the foot of each newsletter to do this as it keeps our subscription list tidy.

Privacy

Speaking of which we keep your e-mail address and contact details private and do not pass them on to anyone else; we do not add new subscribers unless they make a specific request and then confirm that request (this is called double opt-in and stops people subscribing in someone else’s name). If you want to change your address please use the ‘Update Profile/Email Address’ link at the foot of the each newsletter, there’s also a SafeUnsubscribe link there.

Sponsorship

This newsletter is sponsored by Julian Russell of PPD Consulting Ltd who is also the founder of the NLP Executive Coaching Community forum. We are open to more sponsorship to help cover our costs. Our current circulation list is over 500 and growing.

We publish in blocks of three months: January-March, May-July and September- November; April is a ‘special’ themed edition and August and December are small ‘holiday’ issues.

You may buy sponsorship for a block of three months for £500, for the April ‘special’ edition for £200, or for a full year, including the special edition, for £1500.

For your sponsorship you get your logo and a web-link included in each edition and one ‘lead’ article in each three month block.

The NLP Executive Coaching Community

This Newsletter is a sister to the Community which is a private Yahoo!Group open only to NLP Master Practitioners who are also Executive Coaches. If you meet the criteria and would like to join please apply here.
