The Tenth Anniversary Dinner

Please scroll down to reserve your place

There is to be a dinner on the evening of Sunday September 7th for AMOC participants, faculty past and present and a few invited guests.

Robin Ladkin writes:

We will meet for pre-dinner drinks at 7.00 pm for dinner at 7.30 pm.  We envisage this as a larger version of the end of course dinners that many of you will have attended, indeed arranged, so although the setting will be quite formal in the Ashridge way we imagine a continuation of AMOC's informal and emergent traditions in terms of dress, for instance, and arrangements for the event.

I am delighted that Caryn Vanstone and Bruno Dalbiez have agreed to host dinner, so they will, no doubt, set a particular tone to the festivities.

We will arrange a number of display boards and tables around the room so we would like you to bring mementoes of your time on AMOC.  We know that there are many photographs, poems, some collections of cuttings and so on.  Please bring these to surround us with memories.

We also remember many fine moments at such dinners involving music and readings or stories.  If you play an instrument, please bring it.  If you remember playing with colleagues, maybe you might contact them to arrange an offering.  We hope that this sort of activity might sit in some kind of creative space of bounded instability.

Hugh has kindly offered to keep some of the boundary, so to give us an idea of who might be up for playing some music, and who might offer something else on the night –  please would you let Hugh Pidgeon know as soon as possible whether you’d like to contribute?  Or if you’d like to help him put all that together, then please let Hugh know that too!

If you have vegetarian or any other particular dietary requirements, could you also let Julia know.

We look forward to a memorable evening with your contribution.

There is no charge for his dinner. There are a limited number of rooms reserved at Ashridge for the Sunday night, please contact Julia Moodie to make a booking. The bed & breakfast price is £105 + VAT (or £80 + VAT if you are a paid up member of the Ashridge Alumni).
